This exquisite Pinot Noir captivates with its deep red hue and concentrated, ethereal character. Layers of red and dark fruits unfold on the palate, complemented by supple, perfumed aromas and silky tannins. Crafted with precision, the grapes are hand-picked and sorted, undergoing fermentation in traditional wooden cuves with a balance of whole bunch and destemmed fruit. Aged in French oak for 11 months and refined on fine lees, this wine showcases elegance, depth, and a beautifully gentle texture.

REVIEWS
Hand-picked, fermented in wooden 5t cuves, 15-20% whole bunch, the balance destemmed. Matured in new and used 228L casks for 11 months and a further 6 months on fine lees in vat before bottling. From one of the best vintages in the Yarra Valley in years and one of the region’s better sites, comes an exceptional pinot noir of concentration and sheer, unabated enjoyment. Black cherry compote, dried flowers, violets, undergrowth. As it opens it becomes more complex and edgy, wild, smoky, tobacco leaf and forest floor. Hedonistic pleasure. 95/100.
Halliday Wine Companion 2021 August 2020
A brooding, understated and powerful pinot noir with black cherry, earth and spicy, stalky fruits supported by toasty oak. It is then funky and skunky on the palate down and dirty but in a good way, with great power and length of earthy-flavoured fruits underpinned by significant tannins. Give this wine time.
Drinking July 2020
The colour is medium to deep and shows some development in its brick-red rim. The bouquet echoes this with earthy, savoury complexities, some roasting-meat
overtones and a hint of dried mushrooms. The palate is medium to full-bodied, the flavours multi- layered and fascinating. The concentration is impressive without
losing its essential refinement. Tremendously long in the mouth. An outstanding pinot. 97/100
