This beautifully balanced wine offers cool, pure citrus notes with hints of white flowers and a refreshing sea breeze. Fine and textural, with a touch of savory nuttiness, it boasts a vibrant acidity. Crafted with care, it undergoes whole-bunch pressing, natural fermentation in older French oak, and extended aging on lees for added complexity. A true expression of elegance and finesse.

REVIEWS
Whole-bunch pressed, racked to older French oak casks, wild ferment, lees stirred at end of fermentation and left to rest. Gravity racked to vat for 6 months on fine lees before bottling. From a prized vineyard in the Upper Yarra Valley, Lusatia is a stellar chardonnay beginning to slowly unwind and reveal. The excellent ‘17 vintage is allowed to shine. Stone fruits, baked apple, grilled grapefruit, mealy. Walks long and fine, freewheeling citrus and orchard fruit. 95/100.
Halliday Wine Companion 2021 August 2020
This is a super-youthful and exquisite chardonnay. It is highly complex with grilled nut, citrus and praline fruits leading to a long, pristine line of fruit on the palate superbly balanced with crisp yet fine acidity. Exceptional balance and precision too and with an uber-long, focused, fine and silky finish.
Drinking July 2020
The colour is light and bright yellow, and the restrained aroma is similarly light and bright, fresh and clean, with lemony citrus uppermost. The acidity is mouthwatering and lemon-citrusy, the flavours taut and refined, restrained and delicate, yet intense, with a long carry and harmonious lemony follow-through.
Very appetising and has the potential to age and improve. 97/100
